Lenovo comes with Mediatek MT6752 chipset with Octa-core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 processor coupled with Mali-T760MP2 GPU. Its processor is somewhat inferior to Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 in terms of performance. It too has a 2 GB of RAM with 16GB ROM, but it comes with the option to expand memory up 32 GB.

Software:

The Redmi Note 2 runs on Android OS, v5.0 (Lollipop) with its own user interface. It is official now that the new Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 will run on MIUI 7, which is the latest customization offered by the company. This time Xiaomi worked on the performance rather than changing the whole interface. Similarly, Lenovo K3 Note comes with Android OS, v5.0.2 (Lollipop) Lenovo Vibe 2.0 skin that customizes various features in the phone and with an option of up gradation to v6.0 (Marshmallow) which is plus point for Lenovo.

Lenovo K3 Note’s secondary camera is better than Xiaomi as it has a better aperture. Similarly, it also comes with 16GB memory which can be expanded up to 32GB.

Connectivity and Battery:

In terms of connectivity, Xiaomi supports 4G in LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, LE, microUSB v2.0, USB On-The-Go and Sensors Accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass. It comes with a Removable Li-Po 3060 mAh battery with fast charging option.
Similarly, Lenovo K3 note is Dual SIM (Micro-SIM, dual stand-by), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0, A2DP, LE, with A-GPS and GLONASS. microUSB v2.0, USB Host without USB on the go is a bit disappointment.

It comes with a Removable Li-Ion 3000 mAh battery which is enough for a day without charging.

Verdict:

In terms of appearance Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 is better than Lenovo K3. Xiaomi also has a more advanced processor, although both have a similar display. Lenovo offers up gradation of OS whereas Xiaomi comes with no such offer. If we compare the overall specifications of both the phones, then the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 seems a better choice than the Lenovo.
